Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Home Horde is an augmented-reality game for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what the game collects, why, and the choices you have. In short: your camera never leaves your device, you can play without an account, there are no in-app purchases, and we never sell your data or show ads.

Camera and your room

The game uses the camera to map your room and find doorways and open floor. Camera frames are processed only on your device by Apple's ARKit and Vision frameworks. They are never recorded, stored or sent to us or anyone else. The map of your room stays on your device, except in nearby co-op (see below), where it goes directly to your friend's device and nowhere else.

Playing without an account

Solo play needs no account. Your best score, best wave, coins, unlocked weapons, weapon upgrades and settings are stored only on your device; deleting the app deletes them.

Optional account

An account is only needed to invite friends into your game. You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and password. We use Google Firebase Authentication for this. Depending on how you sign in, we receive your email address, your name (or the player name you choose) and, for Google, your profile photo link. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only see Apple's private relay address. Your player name and photo are shown to friends you play with.

Analytics and crash reports

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played, for example when a game or wave starts, the score and wave reached, the weapon and difficulty chosen, Armory visits, weapons unlocked with coins, and settings such as Blood & Gore. These events never contain camera images, room or doorway details, your name or your email. Firebase may also process an app-instance identifier, device and app information, and network information such as your IP address (from which Google may estimate a coarse location).

We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to fix crashes. Crash reports can include the crash trace, an installation identifier, the device model, the iOS and app version, and the state of the app at the time.

We do not use this data for advertising, do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and do not sell or share it with data brokers. Google processes it under the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy terms.

Update checks

To check whether a newer version is required, the app asks Apple's App Store for the current version. That request contains only the app's identifier and your store region.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, profile, recent helpers list and push tokens. Your coins, unlocked weapons and upgrades are stored on your device, not in your account. You can also email us to ask for deletion or a copy of your data.

Children

Home Horde is a horror game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
